Slow Meat 2014 Overview
Slow Meat is a Slow Food USA symposium designed to produce a menu of action for meat in America, from field to fork: June 20-22, 2014 at the Auraria Higher Education Center in Denver, CO.

The SpringHill Suites Marriott at Metropolitan State University is located directly in the heart of downtown Denver’s Auraria campus. The staff consists of hospitality professionals with years of experience working in collaboration with students of the university’s Hospitality Learning Center (HLC). This allows students the opportunity to work in a hands-on, professional environment that will help launch their careers in the hospitality industry.
The SpringHill Suites is also a LEED hotel dedicated to a healthier environment through the building’s construction, energy conservation, efficient water use, and transportation. The nearest airport is the Denver International Airport.

As a delegate, the costs you can anticipate are:
$350 for non-Slow Food members
$250 for Slow Food members
$50 additional charge if you opt for late-morning Friday ranch tours and lunch
Admission includes all meals; Friday evening keynote address and tasting. Payment is due upon accepting the role as delegate. It can be paid via check or credit card.

Travel: Air and ground travel are not included in the Admission fees. The Denver International Airport is a major hub with competitively priced flights. The conference center is located northeast of downtown Denver, a cab or shuttle ride puts you in the heart of the city in about 25 minutes. The city's public transport system, Regional Transportation District (RTD), also operates five bus routes under the frequent airport express bus service called RTD Sky Ride. The Super Shuttle will take up to 10 guests at a time directly to the SpringHill Suites for $22/person. Tickets can be purchased at the SuperShuttle counter in the Main Terminal, and the ride is generally about half an hour. They also handle return pick-ups, though you must call and reserve a reservation.
