Enjoy "Deeply Rooted: John Coykendall's Journey to Save our Seeds and Stories" and Camellia Brand red beans and rice (vegetarian and with meat). In the last century, more than 94% of the foods once grown have become extinct. We are endangering ourselves and losing our knowledge of traditional farming methods. Coykendall is a renowned heirloom seed saver, classically trained artist, and Master Gardener at Blackberry Farm. For decades, he has illustrated journals of a Louisiana community representing a dying way of life. They show a time of closer connection to food and each other. They remind us that food represents living history - a chain of genetic diversity nourished, cultivated and handed down to us. It's a reminder of the importance of preserving that legacy and demonstrating ways to do it. #deeplyrootedfilm
