Dear Slow Food Community,

We are pleased to announce that the Slow Food USA Board of Directors, at its April meeting, voted to offer Anna Mulé the executive leadership of Slow Food USA. Anna has served as director of communications and campaigns for Slow Food USA for the past three years, and has played an integral role in shaping the voice and direction of our mission and network.

With Anna as our executive director, we will spend the next two to three years focused on strengthening our national presence and impact, expanding our communities, and renewing and energizing our core programs, all with commitment to achieving a good, clean, and fair food chain that is equitable, inclusive, and just at every link. Together, as members of an open and inclusive movement, we will seek out, listen to, learn from, and amplify the voices of food and farm activists, and advocate and act to meet local, national, and international food challenges. The Board will be working to build our staff as our increasing capacity allows and to support Anna and staff in strengthening our mission.

We look forward to the third year of Slow Food Nations this July as a key moment in the life of our organization. We invite you, our Slow Food communities and partners, to be an active voice at Slow Food Nations as we create the future of Slow Food together. Your perspectives and support are essential. In particular, the Leader Summit at Slow Food Nations is an important opportunity to come together, to listen, to be heard, and to outline our strategy for the coming years.

In Slow solidarity,
Slow Food USA Board of Directors
