Ark of Taste Garden Challenge
This Spring, let's get our hands in the dirt and grow something delicious.
From school gardens to community and home gardens, the Slow Food movement is growing — literally. Seed by seed, let's listen to the cultural stories behind our foods, and plant our own gardens to fight climate change and to expand our palates.
School gardens and Slow Food chapters can apply for a free kit below. You can browse the 2017 Ark of Taste Garden Challenge seed varieties here. School kits include seed packets and/or seed potatoes, a recipe booklet, and stickers for your students. Chapter kits contain seed packets, garden signs, a poster, a recipe booklet, and more.
Individuals will be able to purchase kits starting in March.
If you support multiple school gardens, and want to order seeds for multiple gardens please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please complete the application for seeds by March 1, 2017.
As soon as your seeds have shipped, we will send you a confirmation email with an expected delivery date, as well as some reminders about tracking your growing progress.
Thanks to our seed partners — Seed Savers Exchange, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, Terroir Seeds, and Pure Potato — for donating seeds for this campaign. If you would like to purchase additional Ark of Taste seeds to try in your school, home, or community garden, check out their seed catalogs!
