Ark of Taste Garden Challenge
We talk a lot about the Ark of Taste, Slow Food's catalog of delicious foods facing extinction. Biodiversity is essential to a healthy environment and to defending our future against climate change. It's also delicious. But it can be hard to know how to get involved.
So we created a limited-edition garden kit to get you started. This spring, it's time to dig in, plant a seed and defend the future. Be a Slow Food champion by planting seeds that will preserve the biodiversity of our planet. Awaken your taste buds to new flavors! Your purchase also supports garden kits for two school gardens.
Each garden kit includes seeds for Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry, Early Blood Turnip-Rooted Beet, and Amish Deer Tongue Lettuce; a limited-edited poster and stickers; a Slow Food field notebook with recipes; engraved plant markers; and a beautiful cedar sign for your garden.
Thanks to our seed partners — Seed Savers Exchange, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, Terroir Seeds, and Pure Potato — for donating seeds for this campaign. If you would like to purchase additional Ark of Taste seeds to try in your school, home, or community garden, check out their seed catalogs!
