Slow Meat 2015

Slow Meat 2015 Banner

June 4-6 in Denver, Colorado.

211 delegates eager to turn the herd away from the tyranny of cheap meat attended the 2015 symposium. Representatives hailed from 14 different countries around the world and 33 states within the United States. Slow Meat brought together producers, butchers, thought leaders, and eaters of every ethos to address the conundrum of industrial animal husbandry and to celebrate its alternatives. Although the event has ended, the search for good, clean, and fair meat has not. Keep up with the conversation on Twitter and Facebook with #SlowMeat.

June 4-5: The Symposium

Change makers came together.

A diverse delegation convened to examine the state of meat and look for solutions to the industrial system at an event that was part conversation, part celebration.

"It was one of the best conferences that I have ever attended.
So many international people to meet and I really liked the open
dialogue that went on. People could disagree and it was just fine."
-Kelli Hepler, Colorado Agritourism Association

June 6: The Fair

Slow Meat in action!

A day where people were able to discover Slow Meat, connect with each other, and taste deliciousness. We invited the public to join the experience by attending lectures and workshops on good, clean, and fair food.

"We were at #SlowMeat #Denver this weekend and the Terra
Madre chefs were deliciously impressive. From #Navajo Nation to
Deep South traditions and everywhere in between, these chefs
showed us beautiful specialty dishes" -@barnraiser.us
