Thanks to all 60,000 of you who came to Slow Food Nation and listened, ate, discussed, networked, bought, and cheered. To the rest of you: we missed you! We had beautiful sunshine, terrific crowds, and many opportunities to meet each other and expand our growing circle of people supporting a good, clean and fair food system.
As we’ve mentioned before there’s been great day-by-day, minute-by-minute coverage on the Slow Food Nation blog--so do check that out.
Highlights:
We’d love to hear your stories—of a favorite product bought at the market place, or a favorite conversation had on a hay bale, of an inspirational talk you attended, or a slow journey you took in the Bay area. We’ll be sharing more too, day by day, so keep checking back in.

This looks like it was a LOT of fun. Wish I was there!

Every website I have gone to has such a skewed commentary view based on the costs associated. While we have made great strides to break the elitist look people are not at all understanding how the food chain works and how the government has such an integral hand in it’s cost lopsidedness. When are we going to see someone strike at those subsidies and break them further into the sustainable sectors. We need more media pieces educating. I took time to try and comment here or there without losing my lid at some of the ignorant rantings but it sure takes a toll.
Anyhow, sad I missed it, glad my conviva represented well in the congress. Hope we make some more progress and I’m looking forward to recording and broadcasting more of Terra Madre to all.
