On June 1 we put out an open call for recipes that inspire you to make use of experiences and memories of cooking, shopping, and eating with friends and family. Sixty-two of you entered the Table Talk contest to tell us the story behind your food. Without further ado, here are the winners!
Best on a Budget (under $5 per serving)
First Place: Jenny Sherman – Minnesota Fish Tacos
Second Place: Megan Harms-Feigal – Tiger Tacos (black bean & sweet potato tacos)
Third Place: Dianne Olsen – Root pancakes
Taste Tradition (family or traditional recipe)
First Place: Martyna Hogendorf – Blueberry Pierogis
Second Place: Lucy Verde Ortiz – Dandelion Greens with White Beans
Third Place: Nora Painten – Braised Lamb Shanks
Young Cook (recipes from people age 25 and under)
First Place: Rachel Nichols – Pickled Heirloom Tomatoes
Second Place: Naguine Bensimon Tree – Egg Tagliatelle with Heirloom Tomatoes, Ricotta, & Herbs
Third Place: Lisa Kelly – Stuffed Eggplant and Polenta Tower
Slow Food Done Fast (quick and healthy recipes)
First Place: Sarah Mooney – Spring Gnudies
Second Place: Claire Beorn Norman – Grilled Salmon on a bed of Apricot-Pistachio Pilaf
Third Place: Suellen Calhoun – Trout with Mediterranean Bean Salad
First Place winners will be receiving: Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 10 PC set
Second place winners will each be receiving: Anolon Chef Clad 10” Skillet and Chef Clad 5.5 Qt Covered Casserole
Third place winners will each be receiving: Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 3 Qt Covered Sauté Pan
All winners were also awarded a one-year membership to Slow Food USA which includes regular updates on the latest food news, exclusive discount offers, plus tips on cooking, gardening, and ways to “go slow.”
For the next four weeks we’ll be featuring the winners’ stories in follow up blog posts, and the recipes will be available on Anolon’s website – stay tuned for the stories and recipes behind these meals made with good food and inspired by your fellow Slow Food fans!

What? No links to the winning recipes themselves? I’m dying to try Blueberry Pierogies, and I’d love to discover what Spring Gnudies might be. They all sound so good!

The recipes are forthcoming—my mouth is watering too! The recipes are going to be on the Anolon cookware website. We will be posting here on our blog once a week to share the stories behind the recipes, and each blog post will link out to the Anolon website so you can find the recipes. Thanks!
