The Slow Food USA network works together on campaigns to create change locally and to push for national changes to the policies and practices that shape our food system.
- Food and Farm Bill: Join our national campaign to reform the Agriculture Reform, Food and Jobs Act of 2012, the largest single piece of legislation that shapes our food and farming system and is reauthorized every five years. Read more here.
- Dig In! On September 25, 2010, thousands of people across the country broke ground together at local gardens, farms and community events, and then broke bread together to celebrate. It was all part of “Dig In,” a national day of action to connect to our food and farmers. Read more here.
- Time for Lunch: In the summer of 2009 Slow Food USA launched this campaign to reform the Child Nutrition Act—legislation that shapes the National School Lunch Program. In December 2010 the Child Nutrition Bill was passed with most of our demands met. Read more here.
