We had a lovely and productive time….....great food, 45-50 turnout, fabulous location at Hoskins Ranch, people made lots of connections and shared info.  Kathy Hoffman, Field Representative for Congressman George Miller,  briefly addressed the group about the Child Nutrition Act.

We also had a facilitated group discussion about how we could effect change from the ground up.  The specific question was: “How do we connect school gardens and local ag and food producers to our schools to provide real food in Solano kids’ lunches by September 2011?”  The suggestions were thoughtful, practical and doable, and we will form an action plan based the results. This process really energized the group.
