Slow Food U.S.A. Internships

A new summer internship position has opened up. Announcements regarding fall internships will be up in mid-July - so please keep checking back. Below is a general description of an Annual Report Assistant Internship. Applications are due by July 8.

Each season, Slow Food USA hires interns to work in the national office in Brooklyn, New York City. An internship at Slow Food is a terrific way to learn about the food sector and the non-profit world, and to be involved in a movement that seeks to preserve the world we live in while enjoying its harvest.

Internships provide the opportunity to be involved with the organization and coordination of local, national and international events and projects, and to make contact with international leaders in the food sector.

This summer, Slow Food USA will be working to produce our first annual report. As an international organization, Slow Food has an extraordinary vision and story to tell: a vision of good, clean and fair food, and the story of how we are working to make this vision the right and reality of all people. This internship will help with design, layout, research, writing, and editing of the report.

We are a fun and busy non-profit organization with an open-minded, friendly staff.

Minimum 20 hours a week, 3 month commitment, with full time commitment preferred. Interns who can dedicate more time to this internship will gain more from it and be involved in more interesting work. Internships are unpaid at this time, however many students can earn academic credit for their time at Slow Food USA. The Annual Report Internship will begin in mid to late July - continuing until September.
