URBAN HARVEST & NEW AMSTERDAM MARKET
with Spirits of the Region Tasting of Wine, Beer, and Cider

New York, NY

Urban Harvest is Slow Food USA's festive tribute to the farmers, artisans, and chefs who are changing the way food is grown, produced, and consumed in New York City and the region. Come join us as we honor the craftsmanship and dedication required to provide us with foods that are delicious, ecologically sustainable, and humanely produced.

NEW AMSTERDAM MARKET
New York City Municipal Building Arcade
1 Centre Street, New York
10 AM - 2 PM

Before New York there was New Amsterdam, whose domain - the New Netherlands - included not only what became New York State, but also New Jersey, Vermont, and western Massachusetts and Connecticut. The market, held in a magnificent Beaux-Arts portico designed by McKim, Mead, and White, will feature artisanal cheeses, wines, pickles and preserves, heirloom apples and hand crafted ciders, grass- fed meats, pastured poultry and more from the far corners of New Amsterdam's former hinterlands. Market vendors and NYC chefs will also sell tasting plates made with seasonal, regional ingredients.

The marketplace will be free and open to the public. Special tasting tickets are available: $20 for 6 tickets. Click here to purchase tickets.
